Ineos Automotive Ltd. Issued a recall affected over 7,000 vehicles in the U.S. after customers reported that the doors on their SUVs flung open while driving. The company is expected to replace door-button mechanisms on all affected Grenadier sport utility vehicles manufactured before April 19, 2024; this is based on reports filed with the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

According to the company, the parts were assembled without enough grease application. This resulted in external buttons on the vehicles sticking, causing the doors to open while the vehicles were being driven. Reportedly, the company has stated that they will pay for all repair costs.
